home is where most of your stuff is
I was just about to title this post "Manic Monday", this is how disoriented I am. I got back in from good ole Virginia (it's for lovers!) yesterday afternoon, and I went to sleep at 2 am this morning, only to wake up at 7:20 (I snoozed for 50 minutes!) and get ready to go back to work. *Sigh*
I think my friend picked a great weekend to get married. Not only was it a Canadian long-weekend, but it was a no-sales-tax-on-clothes-weekend in Virginia (if not elsewhere too?) and I got some great deals!
And now I'd like to take a moment to complain about the absolutely gross urban sprawl/planning of the city I visited. There were no sidewalks (except for the older downtown areas and residential neighbourhoods), and although I am aware of a transportation system, I did not see a single working bus from Saturday to Monday. My sister, friend, and I could've walked to several places near the hotel we stayed at, but what to walk on? We could only cut through parking lots. It drove me insane.
Glad to be home again!

No sidewalks?? How's that possible?
I dunno dude...it was almost like the city planners went out of their way not to put in sidewalks. I mean, we're talking about a main street/neighbourhood here.
